
As you all know, today’s economy is in the slumps. This is the reason why so many people around the world are turning to the Internet Marketing Business. Success can be yours, but only if you’re ready to work hard for it, and treat it like a REAL BUSINESS! You must try to address as many different avenues of marketing and promoting as you can; not just one. What you put into this will be exactly what you get out of this. For starters, find your niche and promote the heck out of it. What this means is, find a high paying popular product that you truly believe in and have a passion for, research it (as well as the associated demographic) and promote it via any applicable means possible (I will get into the promoting methods next). Also, don’t give up on your product; one of the biggest mistakes people make is they jump around from product to product without ever taking the time to properly test any of them for success.
Buy a domain name for every product link you wish to send traffic to. There is a small price to pay (about $10.00 USD), but at least your hop links don’t stand out as ugly, sales pitch, affiliate links that everybody HATES and would never dare to click on (including myself). Domain names are more professional than brazen hop links, and are guaranteed to give you the winning edge over the competition. Also, when choosing a domain name make sure it’s short, simple and has the first letter of each individual word capitalized (this will stand out in someone’s eyes, and not be forgot).
Know your Demographic well. This is where everybody gets it wrong. People put their links all over the place expecting conversions (sales), yet all they get are random clicks. The key to success is to research the product that you are trying to promote/sell, as well as the associated demographic which you are interested in. Place your links where there are only potential customers. Check the product’s statistics in terms of what kind of people buy it; such as their age, sex, income, location, etc. When you create your campaign, make sure you take into account all the statistics. Then, wisely place your links where statistically you will see the highest amount of potential customers clicking through.
These days, everybody focuses on pay-per-click traffic and spend all their money bidding on clicks. If you’re new to the game, start somewhere that isn’t so detrimental to your wallet. Try getting traffic to your link by using “grass roots” marketing principals. These techniques consist of distributing to the public business cards with your keywords and domain name on them, putting up signs/banners in heavily populated public areas with your domain name on them, distributing flyers in public areas with your domain name and sales pitch on them, etc. The idea behind the “grass roots” marketing methods is to promote your domain name physically to the public; it’s free and best of all, it works. Nobody ever uses these methods anymore, and they truly have become an untapped resource.
Another great way to get clicks on your link without having to pay for it is to promote with classified ads, forums, chat rooms, blogs, and articles. Stick your link wherever it is welcomed and you should see conversions. Promoting with forums and blogs is very powerful as the people that you promote to are already inquisitive potential customers (or else they wouldn’t be on that particular forum or chat room under your niche in the first place). These methods supply an endless resource of attracting the public to your links. They are an underestimated powerhouse of reach.
