I started blogging over a year ago. I first started on Blogger and quickly found that I enjoyed blogging. I didn’t really care of nobody found my blog really. I just like getting my ideas down somewhere that could be saved and edited pretty much anytime that I wanted to. Granted that I had Internet access. After I found blogger I stumbled upon another blogging platform. That platform is known as WordPress. Now, I currently run a WordPress blog and I almost know without a shout of a doubt that I am going to stick with WordPress. You can customize WordPress in a variety of ways. You can customize it with plugins, themes, scripts, widgets, and more. Their is no end to what you can do with it.

WordPress straight out of the box has pretty good SEO capabilities. The best thing about those capabilities is that they are automatic. You can make your blog even more SEO friendly by installing a plugin called All in one SEO. It is genius at what it does with your blog. You pretty much just wright your blog post and it pretty much does the rest. Minimal setup is required if any at all. Unless you just want to customize it to fit your needs. I think you will find that it is pretty good the way it is.

You can install WordPress on your hosting service and have your blog up and ready with a theme that you desire in under thirty minutes. WordPress is easy to use and very customizable. Most all blogs out there are WordPress blogs. There are thousands of themes out their to choose from. You can find a theme for any genre ore niche that you are in. You can find a free theme if you like, but most of the extra features that you might want come in premium themes. You can find a really good premium theme from around twenty dollars to about eighty dollars. They do go higher, but I wouldn’t may more than eighty for a theme. It is not worth it to sink a lot of money in a theme. Honestly, people do not pay that much to the looks of your site if they are looking for information. As long as your site is easy on the eyes and it tells them what they need to know, that is good enough for them. Most of the time they will keep coming back for more of the info that you have to offer.

This is not to talk bad about all of the other blogging platforms. They all are good in there own way. They have strengths and weaknesses on all sides.
